The film, set in 90 AD is about Jesus Christ’s last surviving disciple, St. John, imprisoned at Patmos, a mining prison, together with many other Christians who suffered persecution from the Emperor. The movie portrays scenes on prophetic revelations from the Book of Revelation, which is the final book of the New Testament authored by St. John. Richard Harris plays the starring role of John in the movie.
